The ASUW Experimental College is a student-run program offering low-cost non-credit classes in a variety of topics, including dance, arts and crafts, and much more. We’re looking for feedback from students that will help us better serve the student body.

2. Feedback needed for a Student Food Cooperative on campus!
The UW Student Food Cooperative (UWSFC) is exploring options to provide healthy, sustainably-sourced food in a way that best meets the needs of the campus community. They are currently working with ASUW on developing plans for a student-run, retail food cart in Red Square, and would greatly appreciate your input on the project. 4. Save Work Study and keep landlords accountable.
Are you on Work Study? Did you know that the State Legislature is looking to eliminate all funding for the work study program this session? This means YOU & 7,600 students across the state would be out of a job next year. This won’t happen if the ASUW Office of Government Relations has anything to say about it! Email Sarah Round and share your story. She will help you get in contact with Legislators and you could be a part of saving work study from the chopping block.
Do you live in less than desirable living conditions off-campus? Is there mold in your apartment, an inadequate source of heat, or is your housing not in good repair? The ASUW Office of Government Relations will be testifying in front of a housing inspections stakeholder group and would love to share your story and create a policy that will hold your landlord accountable. 5. UW Relay for Life needs you to help fight cancer at Kickoff and Chipotle Night!
Did you know that 1 in 3 women and 1 in 2 men will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime?! We want YOU to help us change those statistics and beat the odds!
Learn how you can join us in the fight against cancer and be a real life superhero by stopping by the UW Relay For Life Kickoff Event this Thursday, January 12, 2012 at 6 pm in the Architecture building, room 147! There will be information, FOOD, prizes, awesome superhero t-shirts to buy, a fun picture booth, CAPES, and much, much more! You’ll have a chance to learn how you can get involved and sign up then!
AND if you’re a big fan of Chipotle and want to raise money for a great cause, swing by there on Wednesday, January 11thanytime from 5-9 pm with a flyer and 50% of your profit will go back to support UW Relay For Life! It’s a great way to enjoy some delicious food, and fight cancer all at the same time!!
