1. Board of Regents Forum: The University of Washington Board of Regents is cordially inviting all members of the university community to attend a Special Meeting on Thursday, April 5, from 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. in the Walker-Ames Room, Kane Hall, room 225. This meeting is a special opportunity for students like yourself to capitalize on a chance to comment and share input on the University’s budget, something that greatly affects each and every one of us.
The Board greatly encourages students who would like to speak for three minutes or less at the Special Meeting to sign up in advance- this is your opportunity to let your story, opinion, experience, or ideas be heard. To receive speaking priority, sign up by email or use the on-line form available on the Board’s website here

1. Student Regent Application:
The University of Washington Board of Regents is the University’s governing body whose broad responsibilities are to supervise, coordinate, manage and regulate the University. The Board of Regents consists of ten members, one of whom is a student. The Student Regent represents the varying perspectives of students at the university – both undergraduate and graduate students, as well as students at the Bothell, Seattle, and Tacoma campuses. The Student Regent is appointed by the governor to serve for one year. The role and voice of Student Regent will be especially important in the coming academic year as the University is faced with many difficult decisions. Calling all Seniors! We’ve had an amazing 4 years together – it’s crazy to think how fast it has all flown by.
